The day my band saw slipped mid-shoulder and I froze

At the shop on Tuesday I was breaking down a 90 pound hog and the saw jumped, clipping my left hand, nothing bad but my glove shredded. I stopped, checked the blade, and realized I had been gripping too loose for weeks, anyone else get that weird calm before you panic?
