Warning: guy at the market in Flint asked for 40 lbs of bone-in short rib cut to exactly one inch, then brought back 38 lbs
Last Saturday a customer ordered 40 lbs of bone-in short rib, each piece cut to one inch, said it was for a church cookout. We ran it through the band saw twice to get the thickness exact, wrapped it in three boxes, and he paid without a word. Monday morning he walks back in with 38 lbs of it, still cold, and tells me his wife measured and it was 7/8 of an inch, not a full inch. I put the calipers on three pieces right there on the counter and they read 1.0 on the nose, but he just shook his head and wanted his money back. How do you all handle a return on cut meat when the tape says you're square and the customer says you're not?
