Bought the $12 plastic putty knife over the $40 steel one and used it 5 years
Steel one still sits in the drawer because the cheap blade flexes and doesn't gouge trim. Anybody else find the cheap tool outlasting the fancy one?

You know those cheapo 5-in-1 painters tools? My buddy's dad has had the same one for like 20 years, cost him nothing basically. Meanwhile the fancy multi tool set he got as a gift just sits there cause he's scared to mess it up.
