My 1995 cooler outlasted three new ones at the family cabin
Went up to my folks' place on Lake Champlain last month and pulled out the old metal cooler my dad bought at a swap meet back in 1995. It still holds ice for three days straight, no problem. My brother brought a new plastic one that cost $120 and it was leaking by the second day. The old one weighs a ton and the latch is dented, but it just keeps going. We've got a spare gasket I found online for $8, so I figure this thing outlasts all of us. Has anyone else got a beat-up old item that stomps newer versions every time?
