My grandpa laughed at my phone flashlight and handed me a $20 headlamp
He just said 'you're gonna drop your phone down a sewer grate one day' and two weeks later I almost did. Has anyone else had an old-school tool just... school you like that?

@murphy.tessa nailed it - old heads really do know what works. Last month I tried to use my phone light to check under the sink for a leak. My dad handed me his 15 year old Maglite and it took me a solid five minutes to admit it was better. Dropped my phone in a puddle twice before giving up and using the actual flashlight he gave me. Grandpa's probably got a point about the sewer grate too.
