The camp stove reviews I wrote 10 years ago are worthless because everything got lighter
I pulled up my old review of a two burner Coleman stove from around 2013 and it weighs almost 12 pounds. Back then I gave it 5 stars because it was cheaper than a Jetboil and never blew out in the wind. Now I look at that same review and almost every new canister stove I tested this spring comes in under a pound. The whole reason I wrote that review was car camping out of a truck bed near Lake George, but now I mostly hike in and the review does not help anyone doing that. Has anyone else gone back and deleted old reviews because the gear category just moved past them?
