My neighbor's public apology video backfired so hard

Last Tuesday my neighbor posted a 12 minute apology for yelling at a delivery driver on our street, but he filmed it with his doorbell camera and left the timestamp on screen. Someone in our building's group chat noticed it was recorded two days before the actual incident, so now everyone thinks it's staged damage control. He deleted it after 4 hours, but the screenshots are still floating around our WhatsApp. Has anyone else seen a half-hearted apology make things worse than the original screw-up?
