A guy I barely knew at a job fair in Dayton sat with me for 40 minutes after I got escorted out of my old office
When I got walked out of my old office two springs ago, most folks I knew went quiet on me fast. About 6 weeks later I ran into Marcus, a guy I had met maybe twice at a job fair in Dayton, and he didn't dodge the subject at all. He asked what actually happened, listened to the whole thing, then said 'that write-up doesn't match the person I met.' That one sentence mattered more to me than any apology I got from people I had known for 9 years. Curious if anyone else here had a near-stranger say the thing that helped most.
