Got booted from a Facebook woodworking group for calling out a bad jig design

I pointed out that a popular dovetail jig was off by 2 degrees on every cut and linked a fix I found, and the admin said I was 'undermining the community' and banned me. Has anyone else been removed from a group for just sharing a workaround that actually solved a problem?

Yeah that's pretty wild. I got kicked out of a metalworking forum once for saying a guy's welding jig was going to warp his whole project because he had no way to clamp down the base plate. The admin said I was being negative and ruining the vibe. I even had pictures of my own setup showing how I fixed the same problem. Some groups just don't want to hear anything that makes their favorite builders look bad.

Honestly, doesn't it seem like more and more groups online just want cheerleaders instead of actual help? It's like everyone's so worried about hurting feelings that they'd rather let someone build a bad jig than point out a simple fix. Ngl, I've seen the same thing in cooking groups where people get banned for suggesting a better way to temper chocolate.
