Bought a $210 track saw to break down a single cabinet job, and now my table saw is collecting dust
I always figured track saws were a gimmick for guys who couldn't handle a real table saw. Two weeks ago I had a built-in job in Worcester with a narrow hallway and no room to swing a 4x8 sheet, so I grabbed a Makita on sale for $210 just to get through it. Cut every panel in the driveway, dead square, no tear out, and I finished the carcass a full day early. Now I'm finding reasons to leave the table saw in the corner and I feel like a fool for waiting this long. For anyone running one, do you bother with the shorter track for cabinet boxes, or just drag the long one around everywhere?
