PSA: check your plywood thickness in 3 spots before cutting face frame dados
Went back and forth on whether to trust the 3/4" label on a stack of birch ply from my local yard in Denver or actually measure it. Ended up measuring 5 sheets and found they ranged from .710 to .745, so I set my dado stack to the thin ones and shimmed the rest. Saved me from a whole cabinet run with sloppy joints. Any of you run into this with the big box stuff or is it just my yard?
That .710 to .745 spread is rough, that's basically two different products in one stack. My local yard in Ohio is hit or miss too, one lift is dead on and the next one's all over the place. Good call measuring before committing to a whole run, that would've been a nightmare to fix after assembly.
