Power stretcher kicked back and took out my knee last Tuesday
I was doing a living room in a split level over in Maplewood and the teeth caught a staple I missed under the pad. The handle snapped back hard, caught me right below the kneecap, and I went down like a sack. Spent the next hour working one-legged while my helper finished the tack strips. Turns out the quick release on my old stretcher was worn, so the head slipped instead of gripping the carpet. I wrapped it with electrical tape to finish the job, but I'm ordering a new head assembly tonight. Any of you had a stretcher kick like that, or is mine just beat from ten years of use?
