Pulled 60 yards of berber in a Cedar Rapids basement last week and the pad was glued to the slab
Last Tuesday I show up to a 1970s walkout in Cedar Rapids with 60 yards of berber and find the old pad glued straight to the concrete, so my pull bar was useless and I spent two hours on my knees with a scraper. Homeowner says the last crew did it that way back in 2009 and it held fine, so now I am wondering if I am the crazy one for always using tack strip on slabs. How do you all handle glued down pad on concrete, just scrape it or is there a faster way?
