Just paid $7 for a card reader at a Portland food cart and felt weird paying with my phone
The cart guy had a little sign saying cash only, so I pull out a twenty and he sighs and points at a Square reader taped to his table that says card only. I tap my phone, he says "thanks, cash is just a pain to deal with at the bank," and I walk off with my $9 burrito wondering why I even carry a wallet. Does anyone else feel like the cashless thing sneaks up on you in the smallest moments?
