The card reader died at my farmers market stall, cash saved my Saturday
Last weekend I set up at the farmers market in Eugene and my Square reader just refused to connect. I was ready to pack it in after an hour of zero sales since everyone kept saying they only had cards. Then this older lady handed me a $20 bill for two jars of honey and that got the ball rolling. By closing time I'd done $180 in cash, way more than my average card morning. Has anyone else noticed customers actually spend more when they're forced to use bills?
