A guy at a Denver flea market said my old Palm Pilot was worthless, and I've been arguing with myself about it for 3 weeks
I was digging through a bin of old chargers at a flea market off I-25 in Denver 3 weeks ago when this older guy picked up my Palm m500 and said, "Nobody wants that stuff anymore, it won't even sync with a modern computer." I paid $8 for it and he wasn't wrong about the sync part. Two sides here: he says old tech is junk if you can't actually use it day to day, and I say the whole point is holding a working piece of history in your hand. I got the battery swapped and now it runs my grocery list just fine, no wifi, no updates, no notifications. But I still can't move my contacts off it without hunting down a serial cable and an old copy of XP. So where do you all land, is a gadget useless if it can't talk to your current setup, or does it still count as a throwback even if it lives in its own little bubble?
