Just realized I'd been plugging my NES into the RF jack wrong for about 20 years
Pulled the old front-loader out of the closet in my parents' garage in Dayton last weekend and the picture was a snowstorm. I sat there fiddling with the little slide switch on the back for 15 minutes before my brother walked over and asked why I had it set to channel 4 when the TV was on 3. Growing up I always figured the fuzzy picture was just how it looked on our 19 inch set in 1991, so I never touched that switch once. Flipped it over and the thing came up clear as day, which honestly made me a little mad at my 10 year old self. I still can't tell if the switch was wrong the whole time or if every TV I owned just happened to be on 3. Has anyone else found out years later that some tiny switch or setting was ruining things the whole time?
