Rant: My Nokia 3310 did not survive a wash cycle and everyone keeps insisting it should have
Two weeks ago my 3310 slipped out of my jacket pocket and went through a full wash in my apartment in Columbus. I told a few friends and every single one said the same thing, that the 3310 was indestructible and it must be fine, but it came out with water under the screen and now it won't turn on even after a week in rice. All those drop test videos online are real, and I'm not saying the phone is weak, but a washer is a completely different kind of stress than a fall off a table. So is there a real trick to drying these out, or has anyone actually got one working again after a spin cycle?
