Took me 3 hours to figure out why my old Palm Pilot wouldn't sync with Windows 11
Honestly, I pulled my Palm m500 out of a drawer last week just to see if it still held a charge. It did, which was awesome. Then I tried syncing it to my PC for old times sake and hit a wall for 3 solid hours. The USB driver kept erroring out, the app would crash, and I finally found some random forum post from 2019 saying you have to disable driver signature enforcement just to get the old Palm Desktop to even install. After that it worked fine, but I almost threw the thing across the room. Has anyone else kept an old PDA alive this long, or am I the only one still holding onto this brick?
