My HOA blocked my native plant garden, so I fought back with data
Three years ago I replaced my front lawn in Phoenix with desert milkweed and mesquite trees. Last month the HOA sent a violation letter demanding I rip it out because it looked unkempt. I spent a weekend pulling water bills and photos showing my garden used 78% less water than the standard turf lawns on my street. I brought that evidence to the board meeting and asked them to explain why saving 4,200 gallons a month was a problem. Has anyone else had to battle their own neighbors over climate-friendly landscaping?

LOL bet they still voted against it anyway. Data means nothing when people just hate change.
