Think about how we treat every other small disaster in life. People post about burning dinner or backing into a mailbox and everyone piles on with jokes and sympathy. But machine crashes at 2am get stuffed into the "shameful secrets" box and nobody says a word. Same thing happens with small mistakes at work, we all pretend we never mess up until someone finally admits it first. That silence makes a guy think he's the only one who ever did it, which is total nonsense. Everybody who has run a machine has kissed a vise at some point, we just need somebody to go first.
