Just realized my old SSD was running 10x slower than I thought
I was troubleshooting a client's boot times last week in Austin and decided to test my own rig on a whim. Turns out my Samsung 850 EVO from 2015 was stuck in IDE mode instead of AHCI for years. I swapped the setting, reinstalled windows, and now everything loads in under 10 seconds. Anyone else ever leave a BIOS setting wrong for way too long without noticing?
