Why does nobody talk about the 90 day mark for drive replacements?
I was checking my own repair logs from the shop in Bakersfield last Friday and noticed something odd. Out of 47 drives I swapped out over the past two years, 23 of them kicked the bucket right around 90 days after install. That number stuck with me because I used to think failures evened out over time, but this little pile of dead drives says otherwise. I started adding a note to each ticket so I remember to follow up at the 3 month mark, and it has saved me from a few angry callbacks. Does anyone else keep track of how long their replacement parts actually hold up, or am I just overthinking it?
