Tried a power trowel on a small slab, thought it was overkill until Tuesday
Did a 300 sq ft patio in Columbus last week and my partner convinced me to use our old MBW power trowel instead of hand floating. I figured it would dig in or leave swirls on such a small pour, but it actually saved like 2 hours and the finish came out flatter than anything Ive done by hand. The key was running it early and keeping the blades flat, plus a dust coat of dry shake before the final pass. Anyone else ever switched tools on a tiny job and got better results than the usual method?
