Took 11 hours to find a leak that was hiding in plain sight

Had a shower pan leak in a condo near Portland that I swore was coming from the drain. Pulled the whole floor, chased it for two days, then realized the grout line at the curb was letting water run straight under the glass. Ended up being a 10 minute fix with new sealant. Has anyone else spent way too long on something that turned out to be stupid simple?
