Blow dryer diffuser broke at a wedding gig, $60 backup saved me

I was doing bridal party hair last Saturday in Charlotte and my old diffuser just snapped off the barrel mid-blowout. Ran to the local beauty supply for a $60 universal fit one, and it worked better than my original. Anyone else keep an emergency backup tool in their kit after a near disaster, or am I just paranoid?

Man, that's the kind of panic that makes your heart drop... glad the $60 fix came through, those backups are lifesavers. I keep a spare straightener and some clips in my trunk just for that reason, never know when gear will give out. It's not paranoid, it's just smart, especially for gigs where everyone's counting on you.
