Old timer's tip about swing control saved my butt on a windy job in Oklahoma
A retired operator I met at a parts counter told me to feather the swing brake instead of mashing it when the wind kicks up. Tried it on a 60 ton Grove during a 25 mph gust day moving steel, and the load barely drifted. Anyone else got tricks from the old hands that actually work better than the modern stuff?
