Pushed back on a 15-year vet in Gary about load charts. Got schooled.

He said to always add 5% on the chart for wet lines. I thought it was old-school noise. Last month in Gary, I skipped it and nearly tipped a 12-ton pick. Has anyone else ignored veteran advice on this and paid for it?
