That load chart argument on the 160 ton last Tuesday, who was right?

We had a 40,000 lb precast panel that needed a 120 foot radius, and my spotter swore the chart said we were good at 85% capacity but the load cell showed 92%, so I shut it down and the GC threw a fit about the schedule. That made me wonder, do you guys trust the paper chart over the digital readout, or is it the other way around when they disagree by that much?
