My coffee shop has a prompt jar and 9 out of 10 slips are just "write about a stranger"
I go to this little cafe in Salem every Sunday to write and they started a creative writing prompt jar by the register about 6 weeks ago. Last weekend I pulled a slip that said "describe a stranger's hands" and when I flipped it over someone had written "or maybe try a stranger's EYES for once" in blue pen. Are we all really this stuck on the same 4 or 5 prompts or is my town just weird?

Last month I found a slip in our jar that just said "write about a stranger" again, so I wrote about the guy who refills the jar every week instead. He's got this nervous habit of tapping the lid three times before he leaves.
