Deepfake detection tools were missing my niece's video until I checked the metadata

I kept running my niece's viral dance video through those online detection apps and they all said it was real. But when I opened the file properties in VLC, the creation date showed a year before she supposedly made it and the software was listed as an AI render suite I'd never heard of. Has anyone else had better luck catching fakes by skipping the fancy tools and looking at the raw file info?

Downloaded one of those 'AI detector' apps last week and it told me my cat was a deepfake, so yeah I trust metadata checks way more now, honestly.

lol that's wild, but honestly @ray_williams I kinda get it. I've seen so many of those detector apps flag completely normal photos it's crazy. Metadata seems way more reliable for now.
