Hit 300 flagged deepfakes in my feed this month, and my brain is starting to default to mistrust on every video
I counted 300 separate deepfake or AI-generated clips that showed up in my recommended feed during February, and after the 47th one of a politician saying something they never said, I realized I now assume every viral video is fake until proven otherwise, so has anyone else hit that weird tipping point where you can't enjoy a silly cat video without checking the metadata first?

Honestly, that sounds exhausting and I get why you'd feel that way. But tbh, I've gone the opposite direction and just assume most viral stuff is harmless fun until something actually proves it's harmful. The cat video bringing me a laugh is still worth the good mood, even if some algorithm fed me a fake politician speech earlier that day.
