That 3 am deepfake of my mayor almost fooled me until the coffee shop Wi-Fi cut out
I was sitting in a Denver coffee shop last Tuesday at like 7 am when my buddy sent me a clip of our mayor announcing a new tax on to-go cups. I got so mad I almost posted it to our neighborhood group before the barista said the Wi-Fi dropped and the video kept freezing on his chin. That freeze frame made me look closer and I saw the ear shape was all wrong, plus his glasses didn't reflect the same way. I found the real press release 10 minutes later and it was about recycling bins, totally different thing. Has anyone else caught a fake only because the playback glitched or did you need a second source right away?
