Stumbled across a cached version of some finance blogger's removed post from March 2007, he called the housing collapse down to the month... I screenshotted it before it vanished again. Anyone else ever dig up a deleted warning that turned out perfectly right?
That deleted post being right down to the month is wild. People who called the housing bust that early usually got buried under a mountain of "sellers market forever" nonsense, so it's no shock he scrubbed it. I've seen a few similar ones on old forums, guys pointing at the subprime ARM reset timeline like it was a freight train coming, and they all got mocked into quitting. The scary part is the pattern always repeats, someone posts a clear warning with actual numbers, gets shouted down, then the whole thing implodes and everyone pretends they never saw it.
