The deleted cooking video that made me ruin dinner twice
Last month I found this perfect tutorial for braised short ribs on a small channel. The person deleted it before I could save it, but I remembered the key steps. I tried it that Sunday and the meat came out tough and dry. I figured I messed up the timing, so I tried again the next week with the same result. Then I found a cached version of the comments and someone mentioned the original creator used a pressure cooker first, not straight braising. Without that deleted info, I wasted about $45 on beef and four hours total. Has anyone else lost a recipe video and then discovered the missing step the hard way?
ugh that sucks. the whole reason I save screenshots of recipe comments now. had a similar thing with a youtube fried chicken video, guy deleted it after I tried it twice and both times the crust fell off. finally found an old forum post where he mentioned he double battered with cornstarch. that one line woulda saved me so much oil. people really need to leave the comments up at least.
