Dropped $200 on a Facebook ads campaign that got me zero sales and exactly 12 bot clicks
I wasted a whole Saturday setting up what I thought was a targeted audience and the only engagement I got was from fake profiles in Pakistan, so has anyone here actually had luck with Facebook ads or is it just me throwing money away?

Happens with so much stuff online these days... everything's just flooded with bots and fake accounts pretending to be real people. Feels like you're paying for a ghost town that looks crowded from a distance.

There was this one time I bought into a "verified" Instagram influencer marketing package for $500, and it turned out 90% of the followers they sent were bots with generic usernames like "user4829" and stock photo profiles. Like, they didn't even try to make them look real, it was just obvious garbage. I was legitimately shocked when I checked the analytics and saw zero real engagement. Total waste of money and time.

That line about "ghost town that looks crowded from a distance" hits way too close to home. My buddy spent like three months building up his business page followers and was pumped when he hit 10k, only to realize half of them were clearly bots from some cheap follower pack he accidentally bought. He still posts every day and gets maybe 5 likes from people he actually knows, it's brutal.
