Lost a whole week of footage from a bad SD card hack

I built this hidden cam in a fake power strip for my apartment, and last month the SD card just died on day 3 of a test run. Turns out the cheap card I got from a random online seller couldn't handle continuous recording, so I lost everything. Anyone else run into fake storage cards ruining their setups?

Sam's 64GB card from a random Chinese seller lasted exactly 47 minutes before corrupting everything. How did you verify the card's actual capacity and write speed before you installed it? I always use h2testw now after getting burned, but a lot of people just trust whatever the label says.

Read somewhere fake cards just overwrite old data in a loop.
