My coworker got canned for a joke about the new CEO on his private Instagram

He posted a meme about the CEO's haircut to just 50 followers, but a friend of a friend screenshotted it. The company said it 'damaged brand image' even though his profile said 'views are my own'. Has anyone else seen a private post get someone fired?

My buddy got fired for a private tweet, so nothing's really private.

Wait, does that mean even our group chats aren't safe? That's wild, and kim.nina is right, nothing is private once it's online.

A friend of a friend screenshotted it? That's the really scary part. It means someone in his own circle decided to turn on him over a silly meme. You really can't trust anyone with a screen these days.
