Found a quiet spot to work at the Seattle library and it changed my whole week
I had to get out of my apartment yesterday, so I went to the main library downtown. I usually work from coffee shops, but the noise was getting to me. I found a corner on the 10th floor with these big windows and just a few other people. For three hours straight, I knocked out a project proposal I'd been putting off for a client. There was no pressure to buy another coffee, no loud conversations, just quiet focus. I got more done in that one sitting than I had in the past two days at home. It made me realize how much my setting affects my output. Has anyone else found a free public spot that actually works for getting real freelance work done?

That's awesome you found a good spot. The library is such an underrated place to actually focus. I've had the same experience at my local branch, where the quiet just lets you get into a zone. It really does make a huge difference for getting real work done.

Wait, have you ever tried a busy coffee shop? @logan561, I get the library is quiet, but sometimes that silence feels heavy and weird. I actually focus better with a bit of background noise and people moving around. The low hum in a cafe can block out my own distracting thoughts better than total quiet. For me, the library is almost too still and makes my mind wander more.
