Just spent $300 on a contract template and it saved my business

A client from Chicago tried to skip paying for the last 25% of a website project, saying the work was 'not what they wanted'. I pulled out the contract I bought from a freelance lawyer site last month, and it had a clear part about final payments and scope. I sent them a copy with the part highlighted. They paid the full $2,000 within two days. I was so close to just letting it go. What other legal stuff is worth the money early on?

What about a solid terms of service page?

My first year freelancing, I lost almost a grand because I didn't have a clear late fee policy in my invoices. Now my payment terms are on every estimate and invoice, and it cuts down on slow payers big time. A good terms of service page is a must if you're selling any kind of digital product or service, it covers your back on refunds and misuse. What did you end up using for your contract template?

Actually, a terms page isn't a legal contract.
