Switched from foam roller to a lacrosse ball for back pain and the difference was insane

Foam roller felt like it was just pressing on everything at once, but that little rubber ball actually got into the knots around my shoulder blade after 3 tries. Which side are you on for trigger points, squishy or hard?

Why would you want a tiny ball digging into just one spot when the foam roller covers way more area at once?

bro @king.eric is acting like foam rollers are some kind of miracle cure or something. I've used both and honestly a lacrosse ball hits way deeper on glutes or traps than a foam roller ever could. foam rollers are fine for big surface stuff but they don't get that nagging knot in your upper back no matter how much you lean on it. not everything has to be some serious deep tissue therapy session, sometimes you just want to mash a specific spot for 30 seconds and move on.

100% agree with you on that. @king.eric like, not everything is about covering area, sometimes you just need to attack a tiny spot that's been bugging you for days. I've got a knot near my shoulder blade that a foam roller just rolls right over, but a lacrosse ball finds it every time. Different tools for different jobs, right? You can't replace that pinpoint pressure with a giant cylinder.
