Tried a no-souvenir policy on my city break and it worked

I decided not to buy any trinkets during my weekend in Chicago. Instead, I took photos and wrote notes. It felt good to come home with just memories.

Actually, quitting shot glass collecting CHANGED my shelves. They were packed with cheap glass before. Now I have room for stuff I actually LIKE.

Hey @terry31, but shot glasses AREN'T just cheap glass! Each one holds a cool memory from a trip or a fun night. My crowded shelf is a visible diary of good times, not just stuff. Making room for new things means losing those little pieces of history. A full shelf can actually show passion and life, not clutter.

Man, my collection of old phone chargers says more about my hoarding problem than my life story lol.

Ever notice how some people only see clutter where others see a story? @terry31 swapping glass for "stuff they like" just shows we all value different things. Kinda makes you wonder what your own stuff says about you.
