Hit 500 miles on my bike this morning without even noticing

I've been biking to my shop on Johnson Ferry for about 18 months now. This morning I looked at my odometer and it said 501.3 miles. That number caught me off guard because I just started doing it to save on gas after that price jump in 2022. Has anyone else had a milestone creep up on them like that?

Ngl that's a wild milestone to hit without realizing it. 500 miles is basically bike commuting from Atlanta to like Nashville or something. Did you just zone out one morning and crunch the numbers? I've been tracking my rides on a cheap app but I still do a double take when I see the total climb past 300.

500 miles is just a number, not like you crossed the entire country or something. @alicemurphy probably thought you meant 500 per ride which would actually be impressive.
