That time I tried a free library app for audiobooks instead of paying $15 a month

I was spending way too much on Audible every month like $180 a year. Then my coworker Sarah told me about the Libby app connected to my local library card. Now I download bestsellers for FREE and the wait times are usually only a few days. Has anyone else ditched their paid service for this?

The wait times are barely an issue if you put like 10 books on hold at once, they all trickle in eventually and you never run out of stuff to listen to.

Oh man, tell me about it... I always tell myself I'm gonna be organized and put like 15 books on hold but then I forget which ones I even requested and end up with 5 books all coming in the same week. It's like my library hold game is a mess but at least I'm never bored... just stressed out trying to finish them all before they expire. But hey, that's a good problem to have I guess, better than staring at the wall waiting for something good to pop up.

Yeah but isn't that just gaming the system instead of actually fixing anything? Feels like a workaround, not a solution.
