My step counter hit 100,000 steps in a single day after a hiking trip in Colorado last August, but my watch battery died at noon so I can't prove it to anyone.

I'm pretty sure I did it, since I started at 4 AM and didn't stop until 9 PM, but without the final readout does that even count as hitting that number, or am I just bragging about a stat that doesn't exist?

Funny enough, I actually had something similar happen with my car a few years back. Someone claimed I hit their bumper in a parking lot and wanted cash to fix it, but there were no cameras or witnesses. I told them straight up that without proof, it didn't happen and just walked away lol. Sometimes you gotta stick with that mindset when there's literally nothing to back up the claim.
