inMy mom's cooking always skipped the salt, and I finally get why.
Why is it so hard for people to accept that small, daily things can slowly cause big problems? It's like we're wired to only react to sudden crises... not the slow creep of something like salt in every snack and sauce. I see it everywhere, not just with food. @uma329 has a point about evidence changing minds, but by the time the proof is clear, the damage is often done. We just get used to the way things are and don't notice the slow shift until it's a real issue. It's way easier to ignore a tiny, tasteless thing adding up over years than to change a habit today.
