Dropped a wrench in my own ceiling fan and now it clanks like a cowbell
Last Saturday I was up on a ladder trying to swap the pull chain on the ceiling fan in the back bedroom. I had a little 1/4 inch nut driver in my shirt pocket and when I leaned over it fell right down into the motor housing. I shook the whole fan for 20 minutes and could not get it out, so I just put the blades back on and turned it on. Now it clanks every single rotation and my wife says it sounds like a cow coming down the hall. Any tips for fishing a tiny tool out of a fan housing without pulling the whole thing off the ceiling?
