Hit 100 trips to the hardware store this year and it made me think

I was cleaning out my truck yesterday and found a stack of receipts from Lowe's on Coulter. I counted them up and it came to exactly 100 since January. That's a trip every couple days, mostly for small stuff I forgot or the wrong part size. It hit me that I'm spending more time driving than fixing. Has anyone else tracked this and found a better system, like making a super detailed list before you go?

A hundred receipts since January? That's wild, man. How do you even keep track of all that?

Ever try a receipt scanner app? I just snap a photo and it sorts everything by date. Makes tax time way less of a headache.

Man, @mark_ward is right, that stack is nuts. Found myself doing the same thing last spring, running back for more screws or a different fitting every single afternoon. Started taking a picture of the whole project area before I leave the house now. Forces me to look at everything I might need, like checking the old pipe size or counting how many brackets are actually missing. Still make a few extra trips, but it cut them down by half easy.
