Man, the same thing happened to me with a Kelty I grabbed off Amazon for $160. First night out in Dolly Sods and the fly was basically a sponge, water was dripping on my face by 1am. I checked the seams the next morning and the tape was curling up like old tape on a box, no idea how it passed whatever quality check they pretend to do. I drove home mad and tried to return it, but they wanted me to ship it back on my own dime, which was like $25, so I just kept it. Now it lives in my garage as a loaner for friends I don't like that much.

Dash cam saved my butt once, so yeah, keep that thing rolling every time.

Wait, the radar clock on a night vision cam just forgets 4 seconds mid-shot? That's like a magician telling you to watch his left hand while his right hand is stuffing a rabbit in his coat. Half the "classic" UFO clips age like milk the second somebody actually slows them down frame by frame. Gotta wonder how many other beloved videos are held together with tape and hope.
