Caught my neighbor using my WiFi to stream Netflix in 4K

The real question here is what kind of psycho watches Stranger Things in 4K on someone else's WiFi. That's like stealing someone's car and then complaining about the gas mileage. At least the kid's got decent taste in shows, right?

Just found a way to bleed brakes without a special kit

Man I feel like I was practically baptized in mineral oil the first time I tried this. I wrapped the tube with like six layers of Teflon tape and it still wept all over the place, ended up using a tiny hose clamp from a fish tank air pump and that held surprisingly well. Nothing like slippery fingers and a big oil stain on the driveway to remind you why the bleed kit costs twenty bucks.

Found a simple trick for better moon photos without a telescope

Yeah that timer trick is key, shooting raw and stacking a few in free software really brings out the details even more.

Hot take: I thought writing prompts were a waste of time until I tried one for 30 days straight

Yeah no kidding about day 12. I tried one of those prompts about writing from the perspective of a ghost who's stuck haunting a vending machine and I thought it was the dumbest thing I'd ever typed. But somehow it got me thinking about all the little choices people make in front of that machine, the hesitation, the regret. Now I can't look at a snack aisle without imagining someone's tragic backstory. My writing still isn't great but at least now I have a problem with vending machines.

I finally picked a PS2 over a Gamecube for my retro setup

Ive owned probably 8 PS2s over the years between my own and fixing them for friends. That ribbon cable swap does work sometimes, but its mostly a bandaid for a dirty laser or a weak spindle motor. Ive had two where the laser itself just gave up after years of use, no cable in the world was gonna fix that. Also, that ribbon cable is super delicate, you sneeze wrong and you tear it. Id bet a lot of those "dead" consoles people tossed just needed a good cleaning and a laser potentiometer adjustment, not a cable.
