Replacing a toilet fill valve in my 1955 Amarillo house turned into a 7 hour fight with one shutoff valve
The valve under the tank wouldn't close all the way, so I had to shut off water at the street and swap the whole valve out with parts from the hardware store on Georgia. Has anyone else dealt with old brass valves in these older homes, and is there a trick to getting them loose without breaking the pipe?
